At 13:32, Lancashire Ambulance Service paged the team, requesting our assistance following a 999 call from a female, on an snowy, icy, steep hillside at Stepback Brook near to Darwen Tower.
Team vehicles were quickly on scene and found the injured woman, luckily we were able to get our Landrover Ambulances as near to the Cas Site as possible. Then working alongside paramedics from LAS, team members performed a short stretcher carry of the woman, who had suffered a Potts fracture to the right ankle, to the waiting ambulance.
