At 09:51, the team was put on standby for a search in the Sale area of Manchester. At 12:47, when all information had been gathered, a full team callout was initiated and 23 members met up to search for a 71 year old male alzheimers sufferer, who had been missing since the previous day. We began searching paths and fields close to where he was last seen at 14:01, and barely 2 hours later (at 16:03) a party of members found the man in a field – very close to a road. He had sustained a possible fractured leg and severe sunburn. This was also a first for Dave Healey who was first on scene, the search Control RV was less than half a mile from his home in Sale.
