Whilst exercising on the potential new team members introduction day, those wishing to join the team were given a little insight into how we respond when in the middle of a steep ground stretcher lowering exercise, above Wards Reservoir (Blue Lagoon), Belmont. We were contacted by LAS who knew we were in the area, and were asked to respond to a nearby Motorcycle accident on the moorland road alongside Yarrow Reservoir. Two persons were involved. By the time we’d raced back to the vehicles, and with one team vehicle responding, we were stood down, as the LAS crew who’d arrived reported that the casualties were “walking wounded”. (the NWAA, Helimed 08, was also stood down responding)
