As we were packing away our kit, at the roadside RVP for the previous incident, we received another off-road motorcycle call from GMAS, at 16:33, to another site familiar to us, that being Liverpool Road, Irlam (see also incident 30/2004). Arriving on scene, our 4 vehicles were then directed cross-country by numerous motorcyclists & quad bikers, to the incident location. During this off-road response, it was established that the casualty was “walking wounded” and could be dealt with by the GMAS crew on scene (the initial reports were that the motorcyclist was lying on the ground, injured and unable to move. The youth involved had sustained a very serious fractured wrist.)
