At 15:50 the team was contacted by Lancashire Ambulance Service regarding an incident on the shoreline footpath of Turton and Entwistle Reservoir. A 59 year old female had fractured her ankle some way along the northern shoreline, and the attending LAS crew could not get their vehicle close to her. A team vehicle, via the narrow waterside path, was able to directly access the casualty site. The woman’s ankle was splinted on scene and she was transported back to the roadside ambulance RVP in a team landrover ambulance (along with her husband and the two LAS crew). This incident was concluded on scene at 16:59. (The local area United Utilities Ranger also attended.)
BMRT members and LAS paramedics transfer the casualty to the LAS ambulance
