Today was a stunning sunny day and most Team members were dreading their journey to work, when at 09:05 Hrs North West Ambulance Service (Greater Manchester Area) paged the Team for assistance in the Kersal area of Salford.

A full Team call out was paged at 09:16 Hrs for a female with a query fractured leg, within the Kersal Dale Country Park area of Kersal, Salford.

Three Team vehicles were quickly on route to the incident and Helimed 08 was also tasked to this job, as was a NWAS (GMA) ambulance from Salford – who were already on scene at the time of our contact.

One Team member made it to scene to see Helimed 08 depart for North Manchester Hospital with the casualty safely on board – I’ll bet she had a cracking view of the surrounding area on this clear, sunny day, so our response was stood down by ambulance control.
