At 19:03 this evening our Team Leader was contacted by Greater Manchester Police Force Duty Manager for the team’s urgent assistance with a search operation rapidly escalating for a missing 4 year old male in the Warth Fold area of Bury.

A full team pager callout was initiated at 19:15 resulting in 29 team members responding. At 19:30 our Team Leader (whilst en-route to the search RVP in Bury) received the excellent news from Greater Manchester Police that the young child had been located safe and well in the Radcliffe area and a full team stand-down was paged at 19:33.

GMP were allocating major resources to this search operation as the child was found alongside the involvement also of our colleagues from the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team.
