At 11:53 today the team were paged by NWAS (Greater Manchester) to assist with an incident at Boggart Hole Clough, Blakeley.
Three of our LandRover ambulances responded with 5 full team call-out members on board, with initially a further 7 team members responding in their own vehicles.
The casualty was riding an electric wheelchair when she had driven off the tarmac path over a grass verge, then toppled into and down a steep slope about 15 metres.
With the fire service also in attendance, a stand down message was sent to all personnel, leaving 5 Full team callout members having arrived on the scene assisting with the evacuation of the casualty.
The casualty was loaded on to the fire services’ Troll Alphin stretcher, hauled up the muddy slope and reunited with her wheelchair. No injuries were sustained by the casualty.
The incident was concluded at 13:37.
