Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

12th November 2008

Continuing the ’Mountain Rescue Hummer’ visits to friends and colleagues the ’Hummer’ called in to Washington Hall Fire Training Centre.

The team have previously used the centres facilities to stage training scenarios including performing a difficult extraction exercise from a corn silo and a multi-casualty evacuation of a train carriage.

The team would like to thank Steve Nelson from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service for inviting us to demonstrate the capabilities of the ’Hummer’ and to raise the profile of Mountain Rescue to the Fire Fighters training at the centre.

Finally the ’Hummer’ visited Chorley Ambulance Station, where on an improvment with some recent visits to ambulance stations, the ambulances were not all out dealing with emergencies, allowing a photo opportunity with a couple of the North West Ambulance Service (Lancashire) Ambulances.
