Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

6th November 2010

In October 2009 the team was informed by Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors, that we had been named in the will of the late Mrs Ellen Morris as a Charity Beneficiary alongside four other charities.

Since this time our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE has been liaising with Haworth and Nuttall regards this bequest.

Mrs Ellen Morris of Plane Street, Blackburn, died on 3rd March 2009, leaving donations to Blackburn Ramblers, Cancer Research UK and friends, with the remainder of her estate equally divided between four Charities and a Church.

With thanks to the thoughtful kindness of the late Mrs Ellen Morris the team received £10,390.02p on 13th March 2010.

Thanks to the kindness of the late Mrs Ellen Morris, the RSPB, RNLI, The Fire Services National Benevolent Fund and St Stephens Church, Little Harwood, Blackburn, all received the same amount of £10,390.02p

Today we received an additional amount of £12.69p arising from a further small sum of money located within the estate of the late Mrs Ellen Morris, and now distributed to those mentioned in this substantial bequest to charities.

This major bequest will be utilised within the team to fund the replacement of our existing four Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulances with an all new team vehicle fleet early next year.
