Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

7th November 2010

Well this morning has dawned bright and clear, with the team expecting sixteen potential new members to turn up at 09.00hrs at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ from the seventeen who attended on Thursday evenings Introductory Session.

After an introduction and overview to team personal kit and our Mountain Rescue Stretchers, all will be up on the moors for a test of their map reading skills, followed by a whole series of ’mini’ exercises throughout the day, culminating in an exercise to bring all the aspects of the day together, late this afternoon.

So the typical boggy terrain of our local moors awaits them, made even ’boggier’ by the recent heavy rains.

A full report with photo’s will appear here shortly, but do look out for the team today around Belmont and Rivington, where over twenty Team Call Out List members will be out supporting the day in all five of our Team Vehicles.
