27th May 2011

This afternoon saw the ’Festival Warm up Party’ start at 12.00 noon, with the three day Music Festival commencing at 5.00pm this evening, and scheduled to finish at midnight on Sunday 29th May, all in aid of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team

Over thirty live bands will be playing over the next three days, all hoping to raise a large donation for the team.

On each day free entrance is possible up to 5.00pm after which there is a £1.00 admission fee. (Details can be found on Facebook)

A busy Friday night bar at The Avenue, Leigh

Even before the Festival started, we received the fantastic news that amongst other donations of raffle prizes for the Festival, ’Heybrook Music’ of Leigh, had donated a Guitar and Amp worth £275.00.

Team member and ’The Avenue’ Public House regular Michael O’Brien, reported this evening that “The first night had already proved a great success and that a large sum of money had already been raised for the team.”
