Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd May 2013

On Saturday 11th May 2013, we reported within our website on our provision of standby rescue cover for the annual Belmont Fell Races. (See website report dated the same)

Today we are very pleased to announce the receipt of a wonderful and much appreciated donation of £200.00 from Belmont Village Residents Association for our help with this event.

In a letter accompanying this kind donation, addressed to our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE from Dave Batson, long standing organiser of the Belmont Fell Races, Dave stated;

“Many thanks to your team for again attending the races. Thank goodness the weather improved in the afternoon. A bumper turn out, with 169 seniors and 18 juniors.”

“Thanks to The Belmont Village Residents Association, individual donations, sponsorship again from Bank Top Brewery, and support from Lancashire Constabulary and yourselves, we were able to stage the event successfully.”

“We are very pleased to be able to donate a cheque for £200.00 to yourselves.”

“Many thanks for your attendance and support of the races for so many years. May thanks again, Dave Bateson, organiser Belmont Fell Races.”

The entire Bolton MRT membership wishes to extend its sincere thanks to all at Belmont Village Residents Association for their very kind and thoughtful, appreciated support of the Bolton Mountain rescue Team in this manner.
