Regular readers will be aware of the ‘Summer Charity Challenge’ youth club members of New Bury Youth Club, Farnworth, set themselves this year – namely a bicycle ride along the entire Welsh coastline, with Bolton MRT as their charity beneficiary. This evening, prior to our regular Team Council (Committee) meeting, Eddie Birchall (who organised and led the challenge) and his daughter, Summer, came along to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ to present a donation raised from the Cycle Challenge.

To greet them were Team Chairman, Craig Lamb, Life Vice President, Alan James, Training Officer, Dave Marsh, team call-out member Steve O’Hara, and Gillian Gregory (Our Secretary) and Iain Clarkson from the Support Group.

Craig was delighted to thank Eddie and the challengers and accept their charity cheque for the marvellous total of £930.00.

The entire membership is very honoured to have been supported in this way by the members of New Bury Youth Club, Farnworth, and we all express our grateful thanks for their wonderful achievement.
