After an invitation from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service Dogs Section, a Police Dog and our very own Sasha [With their handlers – a Police Dog-handler and our very own Training Officer Dave Marsh] were asked to front a talk to a number of Fire and Rescue Service USAR Dog Handlers about training and working dogs for Drowned Victims Search work.

The handlers from Northumberland, Avon and Somerset, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services respectively then carried out boat training in the New Brighton area, getting the dogs used to being on hovercraft, small ribs and transferring across onto larger boats.

A great days work for us and thanks to Jo Stevens from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service for the invite.
