GMP contacted the Team mid afternoon for assistance in the continuing search operation for a 70 year old South Manchester man, reported missing on Thursday evening the 8th July. A Mountain Rescue Search Control was established at Withington Golf Club with searches taking place in the Withington area, Southern Cemetery area and along the River Mersey and M60 motorway corridor.
BMRT members prove they can sleep anywhere, before going out searching again, on a very wet night.
23 Team members were involved in the search operation which concluded just prior to Midnight, our searches were inconclusive and Police enquires are continuing. (Update, the missing mans body was found by GMP searchers on Monday 12th July)
