The team was contacted at 22:10 by GMAS to assist with a moorland spot pick-up of a 30 year old mountain biker, who with a companion was descending Winter Hill towards the San Marino restaraunt (Wrights Arms, as was). He hit a rock, resulting in a fracture dislocation of his left shoulder.

2 team vehicles accessed the scene via an off-road track and with the assistance of a GMAS Paramedic Technician on board, the casualty was taken direct to the Royal Bolton Hospital in our BM1 Landrover ambulance. 14 team members in 4 team vehicles, and the TL’s vehicle responded to this incident.
