The Team was contacted by LAS, in the very late evening, for possible assistance at a serious moorland RTA (Cadshaw Bridge on A666). A car with two occupants had left the road and crashed into the steep sided rocky valley of Cadshaw Brook. A very large Multi Agency response, formed from the Fire & Rescue Services & Ambulance Services from Greater Manchester & Lancashire, together with Lancashire Constabulary Units and their Air Support Unit Oscar November 99. With some members on scene, most members were stood down responding when Fire Service personnel with Line Rescue Equipment were able to evacuate the casualties back to the land ambulances, for onward transportation to Royal Blackburn Infirmary.
