With barely less than one hour until the ribbon was to be cut on our new base, GMAS paged the Team for assistance with a 2 motorcycle off-road accident in Peel Green, Eccles. Three Landrovers responded immediately to the incident. On arrival they quickly found that there was only one motorcyclist involved, a pedestrian apparently also involved had left the scene. The young lad had suffered a fractured lower leg, head injuries and was unconcious. Team members and GMAS Paramedics placed the youth onto a longboard, then carried him to Helimed 08 for transportation to Hospital. The vehicles arrived back at Ladybridge Hall to see the official opening of the Teams new HQ / Base.
