At 15:24, whilst in the team area, we were alerted to a nearby Motorcycle RTA by a member of the public, who had just passed the accident scene. Two team Landrover Ambulances quickly arrived on scene, and alerted LAS, who despatched an Ambulance. Both the male driver of the motorcycle and his pillion passenger had sustained injuries in an apparent collision with the roadside banking. They were both taken to Royal Bolton Hospital by LAS. (GMP and LANCON resources were also called to this incident). This was our first moorland RTA of the year, and as we sadly know, it will not be our last.
