GMAS paged the Team for assistance with an injured Mountain Biker in the Terraced Gardens in Rivington. 10 Team members attended for a 16 year old male, with a suspected fractured left tibia. He had crashed off his bike and landed on the frozen lake, (perhaps luckily for him it was frozen). He was evacuated on one of our Bell mountain rescue stretchers to the waiting GMAS Ambulance, which then carried the youth onto Royal Bolton Hospital. (fortunately for the youth we have since found out he only suffered a very badly bruised leg).
