Further to our report of yesterday evenings visit to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ by members of Darwen Dashers Running Club, this evening our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received the following kind email from Jonathan Stubbs, Chairman of Darwen Dashers Running Club;

“Just a quick note to thank you for such an interesting talk last night. I had no idea you did such a wide range of activities or had such a well organised team.”

“I still think it is scandalous that mountain rescue receives so little government funding considering the level of involvement with the ’other’ emergency services.”

“Again, thanks for spending the time with us and I will pass on a donation after our David Staff race on the 24th.”
